  • First time confirming your identity using two-step security?

    There’s an improved way to log in to this website. TD Ameritrade allows you the choice of using two-factor authentication (or multi-factor authentication), which adds another way to verify that you are the owner of your account. You can log in using your password and a text-message security code sent to your phone. All phones must have a North American phone number that can receive text messages.


    Please note that older Apple devices on iOS 12 or lower may have issues with this new login process. If you are unable to update the device software to a newer iOS version, please log in here.


  • Looking to log in to thinkorswim® Web?

    For direct log in access to thinkorswim Web visit trade.thinkorswim.com.

    You can also follow these instructions to download thinkorswim Desktop, or visit the App Store or the Google Play Store to download thinkorswim Mobile.


  • First time logging on and opened your account with a paper application?

    Welcome! If you opened an account with a paper application, you’ll need to create your user ID and password before you can log on. Please visit the Create user ID page to do so. You’ll need your account number that’s listed in the Welcome Kit we mailed you and your PIN, which was mailed separately.

  • Have multiple accounts?

    Simplify the log on process by linking your accounts. Log on and visit the Linked Accounts tab in My Profile. Please note that certain account types may be restricted from linking. For more information, log on and go to Help under Client Services.

  • Have a financial advisor?

    If you opened your accounts with the help of a financial advisor, the website you should use is www.advisorclient.com. If this is your first time logging in, go to www.advisorclient.com/getstarted to get set up. You’ll need your account number and access to the phone number you provided when you opened your account to complete the setup process..

  • Former Scottrade accounts

    Your user ID is your eight-digit Scottrade account number. Your password is your Scottrade password. If you’re asked security questions, the answers are the same as those you set up at Scottrade.
